Today the Foods class made Eggs Benedict. They did such a great job!!! I am so impressed! Every groups' hollandaise sauce turned out. That has never happened before!! Yea for my students!! My room smells great right now!
It is amazing how each group turns out sooooo differently. It is supposed to look like peanut butter bars, but they rarely end up looking like they should. After the mini-lab we talk about the importance of measuring accurately. They always have a good time with this lab, even if the product doesn't look appetizing.
Somewhere along the way, this student thought the directions said to cook the ingredients. Needless to say, theirs did not even come close to looking like it should. :-) 
Here are a couple more cool projects the FACS classes made. Today in class we had our first foods lab, but I didn't get any pics because my camera battery is dead. The students made Thunder Twists (pretzels) and Thunder Juice (orange julius). My room smelled great!!
The Foods class made several different breads for our carbohydrate unit. They turned out pretty good. We also had a pasta and rice lab to look at the differences in whole grain vs white foods.
