Camera Died

I haven't posted any pics in a while because my camera died. I think it died for good this time. And now I'm sick, so it might be a few more days until I get a new camera. All of my classes have been doing some fun things. The Fashion class turned in their designing projects... they are awesome. The clothing class finished they pj pants and they turned out great. The FACS classes have had some fun labs, as have the Foods classes. And Teen Living is have a good time learning about relationships. I will post pics as soon as I get a new camera!

Thunder Lab

The FACS students had their first lab today. They did fairly well. They made Thunder Juice and Thunder Twists while wearing the aprons they made last quarter! Don't they look great!?

Deviled Eggs

Today in Foods we learned about eggs. To help reinforce the concepts, we made deviled eggs. For the most part, I think the students liked them. We learned, through first periods experience, that we needed to decrease the amount of mayo used. The students did a good job though.

Fashion Designers

In Fashion the girls have been designing and painting garments based on a monochromatic color scheme. They had to mix the paint to get the color they wanted, then they had to make tints and shades of the color. Wow!! Take a look at some of my favorites!

Muffin Lab

In Foods we have recently learned the muffin method. So today, we did a lab to practice it. Here are some of the results. My room smelled good, even if the muffins look a little worse for wear.

Each lab group made a different kind of muffin. Pumpkin chocolate chip, Pumpkin/apple strudel, Strawberry-Lemon, Raspberry Pecan Strudel, Orange Cranberry, and Maui.

Portion control? This is what happens when you don't put equal amounts in each muffin cup.
