Wow! Just... wow. Interior Design Genius

My FACS students have just finished their Interior Design unit.  And here are some of the AMAZING room designs that were turned in.  Sorry for all the pics, but I had to show some of the totally awesome rooms. :) Check out the detail... can you figure out what they used to make their rooms?

Fudge

Today in Foods we made fudge!!  It turned out smooth and creamy!! Yum!!

Cookies... kind of.

So our full lab in Foods (the cookie lab) didn't turn out so hot.  1st period struggled.  2nd period had no power to bake. And 4th period did ok. Let's take a look at what happened...

 Does "how" something look make a difference in how it tastes?

 As did the dumpster cookie groups.  What is the point of dumpster cookies?

Italian Stuffed Shells

Today in Foods we had another mini lab. We made Italian Stuffed Shells in the microwave.  Students did a great job and they all commented that they really enjoyed them.

 This group got all the ingredients in the pan, but they didn't exactly follow all the directions... As I was taking the picture, they commented that this is a great example of what NOT to do... lets talk about that...

Cookie Color Wheels

Today in FACS we made cookie color wheels!  Students learned about the Brewster-Prang color wheel then they made the 12 different colors using frosting and food coloring.  It was fun to see the results.

Bubble Bread!!

The Foods classes had their first microwave lab today... we made Bubble Bread!!  Yum!!

Elements of Desgin

Yesterday in FACS we learned about the elements of design.  Students participated in a couple of activities practicing a few of the elements.  This is an example of having a positive space and adding negative space into the image...
