Mac n' Cheese

Yesterday in FACS we made an All American favorite... Mac n' Cheese!  It was really good... even the kids that don't like Mac n' Cheese said it was good. It made a lot though so we had several groups sharing their leftovers with teachers. Yum!

Homemade Pancakes and Barnum's Syrup

Today in FACS we made pancakes from scratch and homemade syrup.  The syrup is to die for!!!  So yummy!  It was fun to see some of the shapes of pancakes students made...

The students set their tables (in an informal place setting) and practiced basic dinning etiquette to eat their pancakes.

A couple of groups made a slight alteration in the recipe.  They used baking soda instead of baking powder... does that make a difference? :)  Try it sometime... you won't make the same mistake twice.

Job well done guys!  The lab went smoothly and clean up was great!

Goop

Today the FACS classes made goop. :) This is a fun lab because the measurements are not exact. Students measure out a dit-dot of this and a dribble of that. It is fun to observe. :) We had very different products in each class.

Babies were born yesterday in my 3rd period Teen Living class. It's Baby Day!!
Dr. Bench came in to deliver the babies and he did a great job! What a man!! He delivered 43 babies in about 20 minutes time!! Thank you Dr. Bench! Some students were really excited about their new little one...

There were a couple of students who were blessed with twins... what great news!!
