Chaos

I haven't posted in a while due to chaos (both personal and professional), but I have been documenting what has been done in class so here is a quick update.

In Foods we made soup (Chili, Beef Stew, Clam Chowder, Cheddar & Broccoli, Chicken Noodle, and a couple of others) one day, Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo one day, and Chicken Bow Tie Salad another day. I don't have a picture of the salad, so you will have to take my word for it- it looked and tasted yummy! The soup was good too. As was the Alfredo.

In FACS we have been busy. We finished up the Child Development unit with a preschool. Then we started the Interior Design unit with creating cookie color wheels.

In Clothing students have been working on their project of choice which is like their final project. This dog pillow was made by one of my students. He did a great job.

More Pancakes

Pancakes with Homemade Syrup

Today my FACS classes made pancakes with homemade vanilla syrup. The smelled really good. And looked really good. The students have more fun with this lab than with any other lab I think. it is fun to see which groups make silver dollar pancakes and which labs make lumberjack pancakes. It is also interesting to see how many make mickey mouse pancakes. My students are so cool!

Burritos! Today in FACS we made burritos. My room smelled yummy! Students made homemade tortillas and a burrito mixture. I think students liked it! One group made me a burrito because they had extras. It was delicious! Some of the groups didn't roll out their tortillas thin enough so they wouldn't roll very easily into a burrito, but they still tasted great!

Stir Fry

Today in Foods the class made Stir Fry. I have been sick, so I haven't been able to smell a whole lot, but wow! The smells coming out of the lab today were fabulous!! I just might have to make Stir Fry for dinner tonight at home! Great job guys!
